The All’s Eye returns with the studio release of “Say What You Wanna Say,” a bold reimagining of Ari Joshua’s original boogaloo-inspired composition. Originally tracked live with Skerik and Delvon Lamarr and released as an instrumental, this new vocal-driven version comes to life in full color through the collaborative energy of Kris Yunker’s soulful keyboard layers and Ben Atkind’s deeply rooted grooves. Together with Joshua’s expressive guitar and vocal work, they unveil another genre-defying gem from The All’s Eye.
The track channels psych-rock grit, tight rhythmic interplay, horn-like guitar melodies, vocal harmonies, and a spark of improvisational fire, offering a powerful new direction for the band’s evolving sound.
The recording took place at Carriage House Studios, a legendary space known for capturing warmth and nuance. Engineer Mclee Mathais helped guide the session with finesse and clarity, making sure every layer of sound—whether fuzzy, funky, or free—was documented with detail and care. The mix, crafted by Jakael Tristram, brings a bold stereo dimension and rich depth to the arrangement, creating space for each instrument to shine. Finally, Joe Lambert’s mastering adds the finishing touch, tying the entire sonic journey together with polish and power.
