Music Factory Records presents Let’s Do It Right Now, a fearless psychedelic fusion release from guitarist Ari Joshua featuring John Medeski (keys), Billy Martin (drums), and Jason Fraticelli (bass). Captured live at Applehead Studios with zero rehearsal or overdubs, the track is a raw, spontaneous outpouring of groove, texture, and telepathic interplay. The musicians met and hit record within minutes, channeling a free-flowing jam that blends cosmic rock, jazz fusion, and soulful funk into a single mesmerizing piece.
Driven by Martin’s intuitive drumming, Fraticelli’s melodic low-end, and Medeski’s shape-shifting keyboard work, the session is anchored by Joshua’s expressive guitar—bridging ambient soundscapes and fiery improvisation. The track, recorded in one take by Chris Bittner and mixed by Ari Raskin, is what Joshua calls a “spiritual jam,” reminiscent of Bitches Brew and early Medeski Martin & Wood, yet unmistakably its own. With artwork by Royal Kanaan, Let’s Do It Right Now is a vibrant testament to the magic of in-the-moment creation—no plan, no filter, just music in its purest form.
